“ Solid food. Great service. Good recommendations. Would definitely come back again. Got the BOJ burger on the server's recommendation and it was great. Upgraded to garlic fries, which was a solid choice. ”
“ I visited Boa vista for the day and while in Placerville made a stop at this restaurant and I really enjoyed their pumpkin spice drink along with the food. The waitress was nice the space is big with outside seating. I was pleasantly surprised with the quantity and quality of food they had to offer. If ever in the area again, I will definitely make my way to this restaurant again. ”
“ I came out to Placerville to visit a number of Apple Hill ranches with my lovely and beautiful girlfriend. We have been to Placerville a handful of times throughout the last few years, but have never tried Main Street Tap House. After a long day of sugary apple baked goods, and a conversation on what we should eat next, we decided to take the leap of faith to try a place we have never been to since our day was inherently adventurous. When we walked in, I took notice of the good vibes and thought this is definitely a model of what all restaurant taprooms should strive for, as captured by some of a photos. The service overall was excellent, and a 5/5 experience throughout our meal. As for the meal, it was quite the journey. Since my diet for the day consisted of mostly sugar, coffee, and hard apple cider, my stomach was not feeling the best. I ordered the BBQ Burger with a Beyond Patty (I prefer to only eat meat at home). The meal itself started as a 3/5 due to the state of my stomach, but grew on me as I started to near the completion of my journey, ultimately ending at about a 3.5/5. I tend to judge a Tap House by their fries and ranch, which were honestly quite average, as so the burger. If you grow to know me, you'll understand that I love a great house-made ranch. The ranch was not disappointing, but was also nothing special. The meal definitely grew on me though, and I had an overall good experience. ”
“ With not a ton of "late night" options in the area, we found ourselves here for dinner on a Friday after spending the day in Apple Hill. Service: Great, our server took great care of us during our visit Drinks: I wasn't sure how good the cocktails would be at a tap house but I will remember this blood orange specialty fondly. It was delicious Food: The burger was okay. I don't think the separate pieces together (bacon, onion jam, Gouda cheese) were greater than the whole but it was fine. The side salad is exactly what I want when I order a side salad, and I'm not ashamed to say it. Ambiance: It's a big space and it was still warm out so there were folks enjoying the lit patio. The light above our table flickered the whole time which was annoying but not enough to move. They have their own parking lot and there's street parking in the area. I'd come back. ”
“ A fun, open setting with tasty food, beverage, and friendly service! I stopped in to read my book while enjoying the afternoon and couldn't have been happier. It can be a little noisy if it is busy, noise travels well in the big space, but my server was wonderful! I recommend the southwestern egg rolls and buffalo crispy chicken salad. I'll be sure to come back next time I'm in town. ”
“ The menu is typical of a tap house. Burgers are standard solid choices. I have had their flatbread and pastrami sandwich, they were ok. The steak and arugula salad is my current faves. The sliced steak strips are pretty darn tasty. Quality, tender cuts. The steak is fresh grilled and served hot over the salad. Yes please. On my last visit, it was a Saturday night 6 pm. Prime feeding time. Unfortunately they were understaffed. The staff was however super friendly and working their tails off. It looked like they were all multitasking as host, server, bartender, food runner, and whatever as the restaurant filled to capacity. It took a bit longer to check out and as more tables filled, the service got a bit slower. Understandable due to the staffing levels. Kudos to the staff for holding down the fort. ”
“ First time here. Went on Wednesday afternoon with a group of 7. Server was excellent! Everyone loved their lunches. We all had leftovers. Plenty of parking. If you come during busy time there is a public parking garage next door. There is a bar and outdoor seating. Will dine here again. ”
“ Started out with the lavender cocktail which was so tasty, totally would have gotten another if my friends wanted another round.. but the bbq burger was great, as was the bbq mac and cheese. It was really nice sitting outside. The service was lacking though and my reason for taking a star off. We kept getting forgotten about.. with extra plates and the napkins we kept asking for, and we didn't get out waters until everyone was basically done eating. ”
